Outback Onyx Edition
The boldly designed, ruggedly outfitted Outback Onyx Edition is updated for 2023 to give you even more options. Now the Onyx Edition’s unique black-finished alloy wheels and exterior accents, StarTex water-resistant upholstery, and dual-function X-MODE can be had with a choice of the 260-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine or the naturally aspirated direct-injection SUBARU BOXER engine delivering 182 horsepower.

Upgraded EyeSight Driver Assist Technology
The Outback features upgraded standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology1 for 2023. EyeSight monitors traffic movement, optimizes cruise control, and warns you when you're swaying outside your lane2. The automatic Pre-Collision Braking feature can even apply full braking force and bring you to a complete stop in emergency situations3. Automatic Emergency Steering, an all-new feature for the 2023 Outback, can help you avoid a collision by providing automatic steering and pre-collision braking support if it determines there’s enough space to intervene4. Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering2 can take some of the stress out of driving by helping with steering, braking, and throttle control – both in daily traffic and on long road trips.

Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
For the first time on an Outback vehicle, the 2023 Outback features a SUBARU STARLINK Multimedia system with available wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration5. Now it’s even easier to view and control your navigation, music, podcasts, and other content and apps without needing to plug in your smartphone.

Interior
Inside the 2023 Outback, you’ll see available upgrades and updates for every passenger to enhance comfort and convenience. The available 12-way power front driver’s seat now includes a four-way power lumbar adjustment. The front seats also feature redesigned cargo pockets that offer more organizational options. Front and back passengers now have available USB-C charging ports in addition to the traditional USB-A ports for future device compatibility. In back, the rear gate now has an available integrated LED lamp that helps illuminate cargo as well as the area behind the Outback for extra lighting when you’re in the backcountry. Plus, a new Smart Rear-View Mirror with auto-dimming, compass, and HomeLink® is available to give you a wide-angle view of objects behind you.
